People need jobs in this area to be able to give money. O, wait that is Mullis's job to help bring jobs to his area..... No Jobs....No money, I say fire him from the NWGJD and let's look at sending Mr. Jones to Atlanta next year.....

Seems more ever year the Mr. Mullis becomes AWARE of the power he thinks he has. With that comes to reality of Dade County not being represented in the State Capitol. Yesterday in the News Free Press it clearly showed that his voting record didn't represent my neighbors wishes (he's the one who showed me) but he also told me about how much his sister loved Mr. Mullis and how he is such a "Great Man". I understand politics somewhat and requested time to show her just how much her friend is doing for Dade County. I don't need Jeff as a friend, I need him to DO HIS JOB and help these folks here in Dade County and the 53rd. That is something when you look at his record, he can't show me alot..... Elected BY the people FOR the people....

I was p eed two. For tha last three years it has been his position that he would not vote for any tax that did not include a local county opt out. Guess what folks HB 277 allows the region to vote for a penny sales tax. here is the kicker there doesn't have to be one project for dade on it. It will read on the ballot
Quote:
Shall Dade County's transportation system and the transportation network in this region and the state be improved by providing for a 1 percent special district transportation sales and use tax for the purpose of transportation projects and programs for a period of ten years?'

and we may not even have a project on the list. Our whole county may vote against it or decide we don't want to participate, but guess what if a majority of the region decides then we will get the penny sales tax. here is a copy of the bill
http://www.legis.ga.gov/legis/2009_10/f ... /hb277.htm

If I am wrong about there not being a requirement for projects in every county please let me know. Martin voted no on this legislation.
