From this weeks sentinel.

The Commissioners decided to eliminate the furlough days since the county’s administrative office was the only one participating in the furlough and that savings were minimal. Last year some $171,000 was saved and this year’s total to date was only about $5,300.
Times are tough. If the Constitutional officers won't cooperate than their buget needs to be cut the savings from last year. They have already proven they can live without the money and this would send a good message from the Commision to the tax payers that they mean business in trying to keep you taxes down.

I still find the 171,000 number a little high and never has it been shown to be true. Just kinda said in meetings........ I believe that Ted has stated than two offices didn't comply with the furlough. But once again our media is to chicken to find out the FACTS, and just print what they say... Well unless it's the City after making one media mogal mad about the sale of beer and wine in Resturants.
