The way I look at it all pandimonium has broken loose since the board lost Nathan Wooten. I think if the power rest in the board they need to appoint Nathan Wooten. I believe he has the cojones to vote down this tax increase.
To the two board members that voted against the tax increase. You have spent a month looking at the budget and still they want a tax increase. I can bet I could look at the budget and find the cuts. They may not be popular. Guess what it is not popular that I everyone has had to cut their income at least in the real world. This is the worst time we need a tax increase. Now I know you say who is he to preach to us after voting for one? Imagine where the county would be now? Funny how all those constitutional officers can cut about equal to the tax increase because of hard times but we were "cutting them to the bones" unless we did.
Please only vote for a member that is against a tax increase.
In a budget as big as yours a 240 thousand dollar tax increase is a revenue estimating error. Think about the re-election implications. If you do vote for it We do need an ex BOE member bloggin here after not getting re-elected.
I say vote for Nathan. and only if he is for not voting for an increase. I say only elect one who is for voting against a tax increase. After Swader resigning you are in a deadlock on appointments. Those that are for it and those that are against it. We are behind you voting against one of the GOB's that sounds good but is for a tax or as Mullis who got you in this mess a fee increase.
Please only appoint someone who is only for a 0.00 mil increase or less

I have heard he has already been offered the position but ignored it. I can tell you if he aggrees on the condition of no tax increase I will be with them.

As I listened to KWN "Tha Fluffer" it was said that Mr. Swader wanted to wait till after school was over, but now is the WORST time to depart with a Vote coming up on the Budget to Raise Taxes. Right now, I could care less about the Why (He left) though as much as the answer of what it will take to not raise taxes. I know it will be promoted as not that much of increase only a half of Mill but it will raise taxes. I really don't understand why just the Half because next year they will need another Half to go with it. It's the slow cooked Frog story....

Wonder why it is taking so long for them to figure out "The Law" when it comes to a Board Member stepping down? It's been almost a business week since he stepped down and still no answer of "Where to we go from here"??????????

I think I'd make an excellent choice for school board. I can assure you there would be no excessive spending. Shouldn't you have someone who doesn't think it's "everything for the children" on the board?

But what would we do about all the "SPORTS" we have in this Great County of "Ball Players"? We will need more Gyms (wonder what is up with that) and more assistants and MORE COACHES! You just don't have what it takes to make it on the Board Ben! We will be looking for someone who can say yes as quick as the others (remember you come from drawing battle lines) and we just don't need that here in our school system. Just look at Chatt. and that mean ole Rhonda Thurman who looks at ever angle and votes what she wants and don't mind telling it like it is. No Ben, you just won't do... Sorry!
But on the other hand, it would be some fun reading and I might have to attend my first School Board meeting. I mean after all we don't attend the County meeting anymore because there are NO MORE BATTLES!...lol...lol...lol...lol...
