It may happen faster if Atlanta comes close to running out of water. That will move it up the list of priorities. Candidate Ray McBerry for Governor will definitely make this a top issue.

Well I hope we do better at our "Franchise Fees" than we have in the past. Maybe by then we will have leadership in place to take advantage of the opportunity.

Any kind of regional project like this would likely have someone appointed by the Regional Water Authority.

Speaking of water, I've been scheduled to be on Chattanooga radion on 9/25 at 10 AM to discuss the boundry dispute with Tennessee. Hope everyone will listen in. Following is the confirmation email I got last night.
___________
Thanks for your call tonight. We are delighted we can confirm you will join Steve Gill on-air for the 10:00 am program segment on Friday, Sept. 25 onboard the Delta Queen. In next week’s run-up, I know Steve Gill will be promoting his Chattanooga visit and especially these GA-TN issues which have such public interest.
The show will ne broadcast live in 40 radio markets nationally. See http://www.gillreport.com. This quarterly live remote from Chattanooga is great exposure for our region and is carried locally on Brewer Media’s WPLZ, 95.3 FM.
My friend Crews Townsend of Miller and Martin is amenable to voicing the Tennessee position on this show, although his bar review article is more about the boundary dispute than water issues. See http://www.tba.org/journal_new/index.ph ... article/71.
Crews would be the guest in a following segment, not a direct opponent on the air at the same time as you. Even if he has a schedule conflict that morning, we still want listeners to hear the Georgia argument. Your nearby Dade County perch would make it of even more immediate interest.

I am betting Crews Townsend hasn't read the other paper by I think it was by a UGA Law professor. As a surveyor I two held his belief's on aquiesence and prescription until I read that paper. I am guessing it was alright for TN to argue with KY but not for GA now to argue with TN.

Can you point me to a copy of the paper by the UGA law professor? We're really not going to do a point/counterpoint but I'd like to know the legal positions anyway.
