Now I seem to remember Ben did a phone audit back in my days. Times have changed so I am glad Ted and crew did one again. Still, a saving is a saving, Mr. Cannon said. “It’s not a huge amount in the grand scheme of things, but $150 here and $150 there adds up.” Trenton isn’t the only local government to ditch unused telephone lines. Dade County Executive Ted Rumley said the county dropped about a dozen land lines as part of an overall move to improve efficiency. He said he figures the local telephone company “isn’t very happy with me.”

Won't be long before the phone company won't be happy with anybody.... But hey, When is the last time anyone was happy with this phone company??????lol...lol...lol...

When I was with AT&T we once did an audit in one of the big buildings where our offices were located in Atlanta. Something like 1/3 of the numbers assigned to the building, for which we had to pay, were unused. You have to constantly watch things like this no matter the organization.
Imagine how much they would save if they decided to go with Charter VOIP!!!
