Well folks I just got off the phone with the county. There were happy to give me a copy. I would have had to fill out a request. What I was told is that you can not see the Sheriff. I guess the windows were to dark. They would get me a copy. I felt pointless to persue it further. So I guess we will all have to keep guessing becuase he can even avoid the automatic cameras. Hey Ramblin I can only think of a couple ponds here: http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=21359

I knew it was to good to be TRUE. A Picture of "Our Sheriff"... Oh well, at least we have our radio and tv personalitys to keep us up to date on his doins... Some will have to wait on the next election but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one either. The new billboard will say... "Together, we are looking for the Sheriff"! lol...lol...lol..lol...

I had a near sighting this morning. I saw the offending black Chevy truck parked at the jail.
Chef, the one question left to be answerd is who's paying the tickets? The commission office, sheriff's office or the person driving the truck who should have been Patrick Cannon? did they answer that?

It's like a History Channel weekly show of "Has anyone seen "Our Sheriff"! I got a call yesterday that he might have been seen getting a Biskit from Macky D's in the drive through because as the window was lowered his smiling face was right there where everone could see it. Thank goodness he's on the job!

Did anyone ever confirm who, if anyone, ever paid for the tickets? I was gone most of last week.

I am glad the officer is alright. I wonder if he was in a county vehicle when he was hit head on coming to work from Higdon Al? Seems the media didn't say one way or another. My first concern was of course the officer but then my next concern was it a county vehicle and there go the insurance rates. I am still a beliver that they shouldn't be driven home outside county lines.

This will always be an issue because of the "Low Pay" and being able to respond quicker as opposed to costing the county to much money. As for me, I've always liked the officer to be a part of the community he is hired to PROTECT and SERVE! There are alot of jobs you have to locate to be able to fill the position and I feel it's just better to have them as "Fellow Dade Countiens"! Not saying that would Sovle the issue of "Wrecked Units" but it would cut down on the other circles theory of Not letting them take the car home at all.
