That is wanting to come to Dade County. I have heard how important that it is to support local business so by all mean let's get behind this methadone clinic and hopefully it will bring jobs and tourism into Dade County. And remember our Motto... Shop at Home and get your Methadone!!!!!! Kinda has a ring to it doesn't it?

Now if we are so dead set against the "BARS" just think what will be said about this.... Oh I can't wait... This is just TOO FUNNY!

Oh for the simple-minded folks, Methadone isn't a candy or new fast food, you might want to check into it, that is if you have never left Dade County and heard of it.....

No, they want to be here on the "North End"! Might be looking at some "Prime Property" that Mrs. B has to offer here at the interstate.

I don't see how you can be against beer and wine in restaurants and not be for this. Should be fun to watch.I wonder if the JDA had something to do with recruiting this VW supplier..lol

Iam Sure "Maglev" will get his driver to bring him over for the grand opening so he can get a photo op as to show how great he feels to have it here...

Well let's just sit back and see how this plays out... If a Sign with the word (BAR) got so much attention... Wonder what the word (Meth)adone is worth?

I'll be looking for the picture of our great leadership in Atlanta trying to get a new law passed that no business be approved unless they say so...

Since it was muscular objection from the Dade Sheriff’s Department that in 1992 initiated popular opposition to the methadone project proposed then, current Sheriff Patrick Cannon was also contacted for his opinion on the current project. At the time of this writing he had made no statement.

Somtimes it's all in "Good Fun". This topic is really serious, but as usual we have turned it all around to fit our agenda. We should be forming an "Action Group" even as I am typing this. We need to be doing all kinds of research on Methadone and it's affects on the community. Put togehter a "power-point presentation" and make a stand in what we feel is right. But bottom line is that you really can't get folks to ban together unless it affects them personally. I live in the area most to be affected by this business, and have spoken to several folks that really don't want to see it here. But if I don't attend the meeting and "Voice" our stance, it most likely won't get done. I do however still stay in touch with my elected officials and voice my opinion and don't feel the need to appear and get my picture taken doing so.

As for the local "Elected Officials" in both the City and County, most of us here have "worked" with them at some point and time. In this small County, I have always said that there about 100 folks that really work at issues affecting the County. They are on the same boards and committies across the County. Most folks are to busy with their lives to even know what's going on and rely on those willing to step up. But stepping up is only part of the fix, you have to commit yourself to doing all you can to make it better. That is where sometimes (as far as myself) take issue with the "same people" WE speak of. There are those IMO, that are not getting anything done, and those who are doing it for all the wrong reasons (personal agenda). I myself am doing just that I suppose with posting as much as I do here on this site. But then again, I'll be the FIRST and most likely the ONLY one to admit that in this County. We seen to have a real problem admitting when we are wrong....lol...lol..lol..

How funny, when I went back to re-read my post I have found it funny that this is the one post that have the word "I" in it as much as "WE".......... Everone knows that I take issue with the usage of "I" when speaking...................

And to think without the new sewer line we would not have been a thriving buisness like this want to move to Dade County. I myself, am proud to welcome all the drive-in Buisness it will bring to the county, Sales of subway sandwich's will help our Education system (Remember the one Sub a week rule to save our school system) and the Sale of Gasoline at the local gas stores will fund County Goverment... What's not to love about this hy-tech, clean and needed buisness? Sure is better than some old Company wanting to move in and roll up toilet paper....
