Just got a robo call from Sen Jeff "Maglev" I'll-take-any-money-Washington-wants-to-give-even-if-it's-stolen-from-our-grandchildren Mullis encouraging me to vote for his fellow Sen Lee "I-love-Joe-Biden-and-the-stimulus-he-gave-my-district" Hawkins in the runoff for the 9th District. Maglev says Hawkins is a "true conservative". I guess if you use maglev Mullis as the standard he probably could be a "true conservative."

Georgia state Sen. Jeff Mullis, R-Chickamauga, said Thursday he regrets that Mike Evans has dropped out of the 9th Congressional District race, but he doesn't want the job himself.
Sen. Mullis, who is chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee, said he's been urged to run and was flattered but will stay put.
"Politics is all about timing, and my tenure is still to work for my people in my district," he said. "We'll consider other options in the future, but for now I'm honored to serve the people of Northwest Georgia as their state senator."
Sen. Mullis said he would remain neutral at least until qualifying ends April 30. The primary election is July 20.
Mr. Evans said in a statement Wednesday he has "struggled to hang on financially" and that continuing to campaign full time will cause "irreparable financial harm" to his family.
The former state representative had said he was running to protect homeowners and small businesses from "Obama liberalism."
Mr. Evans stepped down from the state Transportation Board last year after he announced he was dating former Transportation Commissioner Gena Evans. They were married last summer.
U.S. Rep. Nathan Deal vacated the 9th District seat to run for governor.

You must be talking about all the Mud-Slingin that Mullis done this past weekend? That's ok, because I know for a fact that some of his supports do think with their own minds and do their own re-search to see the truth. He will once again be dissoppointed in the results of his backing of a candidate.... I STILL laugh when it comes to Mike Evans!!!!!!!!!

Ramblinwreck June 8, 2010 at 8:41 pm Looks like all those robo calls Hawkins’ biggest supporter, Jeff “Maglev” Mullis made on behalf of his good friend and “real conservative” didn’t have much effect. Hawkins lost all 3 counties Mullis represents by pretty big numbers. Guess the voters are smarter than Maglev gave them credit for and were not impressed by his endorsement.
Wished it was over but we have to do this all over again later this year... What a shame that we had to vote for this position twice this year...
