Any word yet when the School Board will meet to vote on the Millage Rate again. Wasn't the last vote tied at 2-2?

Really don't matter because we all know "It's fer the kids" and no one will raise any question of accountability.

I guess after being sworn in yesterday the new board member will be voting "FER" the budget to raise your taxes. Because of the announcement of the public meetings to raise your taxes is already set. HHHMMMM Looks like another FOLLOWER and not a LEADER!

Well seems as if I was correct on theory of "having the votes" as the School Board accepted the budget with a tax increase. The vote was 3-1 with once again Roniie Page not following but leading. If you are wondering why the vote was four votes, seems as if Mutt thought it not so important to be there. HHHMMMM Anyway the NEW Board member has alrealy fallen into the trap and will continue to vote with the others in the "Back Room"....

Good thing the Sentinel was able to get this part of the meeting in their article... After all the HIRING of COACHES!

After the personnel issues were addressed the board then heard from Doug Eza, an independent consultant to the board on budget issues.

Eza didn’t paint a very nice picture to the board for the near future.

“From all indications the state of Georgia is running out of money,” Eza stated.

While not all of his information was dire the board will face some very hard decisions in the near future as far as budget matters are concerned.

They have made some serious cuts this year and will probably be looking for more cuts in the near future according to Eza.

That means not a very nice picture of those that have to pay School Taxes.... Cause that only thing they cut are teachers but add coaches in their place... Just stick the bill on the taxpayer and always remeber...... "It's Fer The Kids"!
