How more perfect could it be than to see Evan Stone make a motion (who should be a unbiased media reporter) That we allow Charlie B $200.00 to hold a breakfast for his friends at the Dade County Commision building for I guess free because no vote was taken to allow payment. (We will get to that after the fact stuff later). Then Mr Stone talked about how we have come full circle in which the republican party only had one voter to now we only have one democratic who opposes us. i must say yes. When I first got involved someone lost a partycheckbook, backroom deals where being made and a questions on the party ballot where not voted on.I haven't been in a while but what I heard was from then new Commisioner Canidate was I am just running because I think things need a new eye. I will vote for the kids. (Sorry no Goals there). I did see some fire from http://www.jimpope.com that was interesting and I am going to check him out later. We heard from the new school board candidate who I will do a new column on lately. Over All the same 9 people heard from the same 3. No Outer Circle.

I think the most interesting, and funniest, part was when lifelong Democrat Lamar Lowery stated that what pushed him over the edge to switch parties was when he was locked out of the Democrat meeting a couple of months ago. REALLY? What a compelling reason to vote for him as a Republican! Those mean old nasty Democrats hurt his feelings and locked him out of a meeting and now he wants to pretend to be a Republican just so he can get reelected. What do the Democrats know that the Republicans don't? Nothing! On Lamar's decision to switch parties assuming he'd run unopposed as a Republican, to quote one of my favorite lines from an Indiana Jones movie, "he chose poorly."

I did enjoy hearing Mr. Pope speak. He even brought the campaign disclosures that showed all of Mullis's donations came from out of district. I be that had some in the meeting just fuming. I was really laughing when the where bragging about keeping LBTD off the ballot. What is funny is that the outsmarted themselves. The Chairman said when he consulted with Evan and others they kept it off. What is funny is that with the low turnout expected it would have failed big time and then they could have told the rest of us to shut up for a while. Instead I have heard rumors of some seeking to get it on in November. The funny thing is that is being on the ballot doesn't mean being for it or not just asking the question. When I said full circle this is what happened again. We had a backroom deal of a few voting to put it on the ballot. What was really funny is that I think the last or second to last donation to Mullis was for $500 by the Wholesale Distributors for Good Government. I bet you can't guess what industy they lobby for? Yept you got it the Alcohol industry. I bet that would keep some of Mullis's biggest suporters scramming for excuses. In all a very humoreos night.

I have found that folks really don't care who is running for what or why. Lamar and Jeff (Mullis) will be fine for another term. It's funny how David has posted almost all the votes from the Senate on here but yet as I understand no one in that room had a clue of what Mullis voted... Or Cared! Now that the Commission is getting along so well nothing will change their either. When asked what he would change maybe David can tell us what Mr. Smith answered.... I already know just thought I would let someone answer who was there. Goodness knows, I've got better things to do than listen to Dade County try to play politics...
