Pie Slingers Pizzeria may have been around for awhile, but it was my first time trying it after several referrals there recently. WELL WORTH THE DRIVE! Simple, multi-colored atmosphere, and a little wild, but a great place to eat. They hand toss all the pizzas themselves and along with the basic pizza toppings they also offer barbecue chicken and pork, smoked chicken, artichoke hearts, banana peppers, sun dried tomatoes, asiago cheese, feta cheese, blue cheese, etc. The best pizza I have had in awhile and its quiet enough to carry on a conversation and includes outdoor seating where you can sit and watch downtown Chickamauga. For an additional treat - the ice cream shop just a short walk and through the intersection provides Mr. T size scoops and they are very friendly with great sugar cones.
