FairTax presentation at TEA Party meeting

Postby Ramblinwreck » Thu Apr 08, 2010 7:57 am

Tonight at the Dade County TEA Party Patriots meeting in Trenton we will have a presentation from Mike Warlick who is Director of the North Georgia FairTax group. If you've wondered what the FairTax is and why it is the best way to take power away from Washington and return it to the people this is your chance to find out what it's all about.

Come join us at 6:30 PM in the Dade County Commission meeting room in Trenton.

If not you, who?
If not now, when?

Man, I really hated missing last night's meeting. But as some will know, I broke down on this weekends race and spent two more days out of town that I was supposed to. That runs me behind for getting ready for this weeks. And yesterdays rain didn't help. So I had to work till dark getting cleaned up and restocked for this weekend. Wonder how the turnout was? I know ones new outlet that won't cover it so that leaves us with just one. I also voted for one meeting a month because of the schedule I keep, but was outvoted by one vote... Oh well, I will try to make as many as I can. It's really been enlighting and I thank those who take their time to educate us....

Sorry about you getting outvoted at the meeting two weeks ago. At least i didn't have to cast the deciding vote (and I ain't about to say which way I would have voted).

No problem, I will make the meetings I can because the TEA Party is the best thing going in Dade County as far as political functions. At least you can listen an make up your own mind. It isn't just Three people having everthing their way... I get tired of riding the Mullis Train and playing brain dead... I can see for myself what has been going on....

We'd love to have folks take a more active role in the TEA party. Alan and I are traveling a lot and it's becoming a challenge to pull these together. I will be out of town for the first May meeting and we're trying to find a good candidate to speak.

I very much understand how you feel. It seems as if those who will do are the ones who are left to do ALL the work. We all would like others to step up and help out but here in Dade County that isn't what is being taught. Since dropping out of "The Fight" I've really gotten lazy and it's more about me than ever in my life.. Kinda like it too. Maybe we could get Sarah Palin to speak...lol..lol...

Since we now have a contested race in the 53rd Senate District, what about asking the three contenders to each speak for about 20 minutes on the same night?

As I watched World news talk about Republicians move to the right and call themselves Indpendents, I have to laugh and say the Tea Party is changing the way they run. I find Mullis as one of these people who when it comes time to dance, it will be funny to see what shoes he puts on!
