Racinrex it looks like this is where we have to stop because our arguement is on two different views with no connection point. I'm always going to believe that abortion is not just the woman's choice, but the man's choice at times while you see different.
Quick response to what I say: If the woman does not want the child, but the man does he should be entitled not to lose the child. I've recently heard of a group of people fighting or this right and I'm actually amazed how far it's grown.

sbcorgi, I like to see that someone knows who CM Punk is. That's good and I'm sorry you're children are drawn to the Super Mario Mushroom.

The quotation of wrestler can be like quoting a phrase out of a book like To Kill a Mockingbird. Sure some media is remembered to have great lessons and such, but professional wrestling does connect with real life issues and this is just one of the few quotes that I actually agree with. A bad word is just that, a word that society claims as bad. When in reality any word or phrase can be bad, if used in that case.

I actually agree with the point being made. BUT I don't like to here (see, read) certain words. The 'f' word is a shortened form (slang) of fornicate and the meaning is still there, and just the insinuation of such I find offensive. Is I said everyone is allowed to there opinions, and I just explain it to my kiddos when they ask.

BTW, I was truly saddened to hear that Captain Lou had passed away last week. Those were the good'ole days....

Billie, you are correct "Racinrex it looks like this is where we have to stop because our arguement is on two different views with no connection point."... Because you can debate the subject and look at it from ten different ways including the Great-Grandparents but taking the life of the unborn is still MURDER! And therfore I will never be Pro-Murder.

As far as the word being used or printed on a T-Shirt, it is used in the Dictionary but take the ole timers test of saying... Boy I would really think my Grandmother would look cool using that word.... It may be just a word but it will never pass the Grandmother test. Just something your public education won't teach you...

But Billie keep in mind that I respect your point of view because I have worked with alot of young people and it's always fun to debate the issues and I have no problem with discussing anything you want to discuss. You seem to be a fine young man, although you might needs more discussion with us...lol...lol...

I think what CM Punk was trying to say when he mentions the shirt is that the letter F in the shirt can be taken any way. It could be the negative slang that people use today, or it could just be a random word such as: for, famous, fantasize, fabulous. We take the words we see and we choose how they are treated and because of this I see real meaning in the quote. I could be totally wrong about what he meant though.

I was never alive to really see Captain Lou wrestle because that was back in the World Wide Wrestling Federation days, but I've done a lot of Internet research and watched a lot of his old matches recently and I've honestly been missing out!

Cute crabbie did you draw it?

I got the same idea from the quote, kind of like saying "I am going to kill you" but most people who say that don't really have the intent of killing anyone. The truth is that words are very powerful and we should always be cautious when using words that can have a powerful connotations to them. Sadly, one can say 'I'm going to kill you' easier than using the f-bomb seems like a strange twist. One example of word meanings, is the movie title Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me -- in this country people didn't really give much thought to the word 'shagged' but in England the word is exactly the same as using the f-word here. The truth is that words have power even when you don't have an intent behind them.
That is one of the reasons I don't work for Dark Horse much anymore, they don't want to just translate they want to 'Americanize' manga (including mirroring the pages so they read right to left, using GD, JC, other kinds of gratuitous profanities), even at the expenses of the message that the author/artist was preserving. Even the fans don't like it, they actually loose a great deal to online scantilations just becuase they want simple translations that keep true to the story.

I drew a crab in Microsoft Paint with the mouse and instead of having something insulting/offending in my signature. I can do a lot better if I had just pencil. Eh.

You worked for Dark Horse?

Billie, I look at the shirt being more of a "Shock Factor" or better known as attention getter than anything else. You see in today's world you are not "seen" doing good deads. Much like a Firefighter or someone who Volunteers their time for something useful. Take you helping the library. Most people will not even notice because they expect that "SOMEONE" will do it. Now to me it's really a big deal but to most it's just another factor in life. But if you need or want the attention you have to have this "Shock Factor" to be seen. Take for instance the Reality T.V. shows that are on today. I grew up in a home that wouldn't be much fun to watch but three sisters pulling their clothes off in a fight now that makes you think don't it?

There are alot of Shock Factors going on today like the family of the "Boy in the Balloon" who can't get enough attention that started out using his kids poseing for a picture with a beer beside them. Now we all know that the baby never drunk the beer but it's the shock factor of "Oh My Gosh" look at that................And who would have ever thought that a Husband and Wife raising kids could create so much fine T.V. as Jon and Kate?

It's just things that make Me go HHHHHMMMM!

Oh yea, I like the crab much better, because it show's your talent and it speaks better of you. But hey I'm just an ole fart now but I used to be your age.

I like it, as one artist to another -- I can't do diddly with a mouse, beyond layout, I gotta scan it all!

I am a Japanese/English translator (I translate the words 'literally' then a story editor takes it and then makes it make sense for the English speaking audience), I have worked for Dark Horse, Tokyo Pop, Geneon and Viz Media. I worked in donjinshi when I lived in Japan in the late '80s. I haven't been working much everything that I am coming across is yoai or bishonen, the big guys have there 'regulars' now and there isn't much over flow of 'good work' like there used to be. I used to translate Young King Ours, including HELLSING back in the early days that is how I got on with DH when they took over the American publication of it, but my favorite has to be Blade of the Immortal which has lost favor with DH (they are still doing compilations very slowly) and I have been working with some guys online doing scantilations for those really devoted fans..... but Samura Hiroaki says he will end it in 2010 after 13+ years.
