Still having problems with the Dogs in Dade County getting stolen. But don't call the Sheriff because he isn't aware of any problem... But then again... lol...lol...lol... If you happen to know or see anyone who's stealing dogs please let me know. Please pay close attention in the "South End"!

Is there a particular type of dog being stolen or just anything that is out and available?

It is usually a dog they can sell. I had to laugh when someones said during the investigation (or lack of one) about the dogs not having value wthout the papers. I paid alot of my money for the same breed that was stolen the other day (that being a boxer) and I didn't care or want the papers. There are several dogs I know that were sold to people who only wanted a certain breed and didn't care for the papers. Some dogs that are "rescued" are sent to Atlanta to be adopted while others bring in a little cash for the ones who see the need to "rescue" ever dog that they feel needs another home. Like I have said many times I have spent more time on this issue than any other and let me tell you just because we have a Sheriff that isn't aware of the problem, I AM! If you call the right people here in Dade County and tell them a certain breed you are looking for, they will be able to "rescue" you one in a few weeks....When will we "Rescue" our pets from the "Resuers"???????????????????????????????

Oh and let it be known that all the dogs taken are not by the "Rescue Folks" but in my time looking into the issue the same folks have been seen alot of the times taking or trying to take these stolen dogs. Just keep your eyes open for someone loading up animals and claiming to "rescue" all the animals here in Dade County. Might want to check with the owner of the property to see if they want them "rescued" or not. And besides the Sheriff not seeing it as a problem, most of the owners will disagree............

It's like I told the lady who was telling me about the dog she had taken from her, and I've told so many people about this problem. People don't report the stolen dogs because they are afraid that the dogs might have wondered off. If it's your car that is missing, it has been stolen... Not seen many cars "rescued" or "wondered off" in my day....lol...lol... AS we drive around and see how close our animals have become part of our lives (such as mine) it just pains me to see when an owner looses one period. I watched my neighbors lose their family member the other day... (speeder ran over him) and he hasn't been in the road but twice in the past two years that I have seen. It could have been just as easy been a child as their dog but I still couldn't report a Hit and Run. I did however call to ask the Sheriff's Dept, to slow down traffic on this hwy which they have... I also know that a missing animal might come from a neighbor that is annoyed with your pet and take matters in their own hands. That is why we need a County Animal Control Officer (that tends to more than just dangerous pets) because the Sheriff's Dept. is too busy to handle all the complaints of people's issues with the neighbor's animals. The law looks at pets as property and that is why we have the issue that we have today with stolen and shot animals. Then you have us "pet owners" who feel as if their pet is their child (even though we know better) we love them the same. It's kinda like a "Katch 22" that no one has come up with an answer for yet.... Including myself.................. I just need people to be aware that pet's ARE being taken in this County...........

I find this wayy to funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday's class will teach citizens how to successfully identify and prosecute animal cruelty cases. That class will also begin at 1:00PM but will be held at the Trenton City Hall.

Wonder if they will address stealing dogs from their owners as being animal cruelty? I bet we all know who is behind this class....lol...lol...lol... Prosecute? They can't even be allowed to make an arrest! Only in Dade County!
