Last year the GA Assembly passed a Law that requires all Municipalities (the City), the county, and school board to send a pdf version of the budget once it is adopted to the Carl Vincent Institute. They will have a website so citizens can call up that information. The also have to send audits. Their are some additional requirements for Law enforcement agencies to transmit data also. The bill as originally written required a lot more info to be submitted but was parred down to this. Allow I agreed strongly with the original bill this is a step in the right direction for open government. The Bill can be read here: http://www.legis.ga.gov/legis/2009_10/f ... /hb122.htm
