Just an interesting supreme court decision I found on splost

Two splost info publications

Enjoy reading. Net books cost about $300 a piece. So you could get how many for 20 thousand dollars?

As I've said frequently before I believe the biggest demand for the library is for free internet service. If the county's budget has to be cut further this should be the first thing to go. There are already 4 completely funded and stocked libraries for kids at the schools. Open those up if you want them to have access to books. I don't want to pay someone's internet bill. Libraries are not an essential function of government especially in times like these. It's an insult for them to expand the library as tight as money is now.

I was never successful getting a list of exactly how many ACTIVE library card users there were in Dade County. Do you need a library card to use a computer?

You aren't the only one! But at least you can ask the Chamber how many folks have been by to use the Computers since the move from Ingles Shopping Center.
