This morning on the "station with the information" I dun got plum ticked at the fact that Mr. Media was telling his listners that the "Fee Increases" were not the act of Dade County... HUH????? He said it was a Bill passed by both the House and Senate but what he should have been saying that his ole Buddie (Mullis) was the "Leader" in this bill and didn't tell you that State Rep. Matin Scott voted against it. ChefDavid has been on this issue since the very first, and has kept us to date on this Bill 1055.......At least Mr. Media should be able to report the actual facts, but that would have to call out his BUDDIE! Just get ready folks... The price of doing business in Dade County has just went UP!

Funny how all those trips to Atlanta just produced some good pictures
Yea went sent our Commissioners, Young Adults, Ball Players and even our #1 Preacher (so they think) but we still get the "fee" Increases. Oh and getting them a laptop to look at this website? Naw, they don't even look at it to hear them tell it...lol...lol.... Maybe they should just admit it and be happy that someone in Dade County is Paying Attention... So that others won't have to be paying taxes......Oh I'm sorry... Fee Increases!!!!!!!!

If maglev Mullis had to point to something tangible he'd actually done for Dade County what would it be? Just askin? I'm biased and maybe I've missed something. I'm not talking about bringing back our "fair share", whatever that is, of money the government had to steal from another county to give to us. Can anyone help me out?

He's been in the Trenches with Media Boy, calls in Tuesday and talks about the weather and our Ball Players and teams, tells us about his "Dade County Wife" and gives us an edited update on what's going on in Atlanta. Tells us how he really loves Dade County then uses the phone line of the Birth of this County.... Keeps Mrs. Dade County "In Check" fer-im. Sends me a fund raiser invite... I could go on and on!!!!!!!! But for Dade County... Let me think... HHHHMMM now that you mention it, I have spent the last two years wondering the SAME THING. He is no doubt the Highest Paid Cheerleader. Dade County has... Well at least while he's here looking good for "His People"!!!!!!! lol...lol...

Now we need not be to critical of the Maglev Mullis. After all some proponets believe it will put Chattanooga Airport out of business. Now this won't happen until the Feds, State and locals pump a ton of money in it to keep it going. Kind of like our existing railroads. Makes since to me.
Through deep thought and concentration I have figured out the master plan and why the transportation tax was such a big win for Maglev Mullis I mean our region. From Ramblin:
Quote:
Interesting that this company jumped right over NW Georgia to locate a plant in Fort Payne. Someone on the county commission should ask "maglev" Mullis why we didn't get a look. Maybe Dade County needs its own economic development. Oh wait, isn't that what the IDA is for? Never mind.
plus From Maglev Mullis:
Quote:
The Director of Planning will use the districts’ investment criteria to assess projects, assemble a “list of example investments,” and deliver it to each executive committee. Executive Committees consult with the DP and choose from the “list of example investments” to create a “draft investment list” for consideration by the full Regional Transportation Roundtable. When the list of project is finalized, it is ready for your approval via referendum.
Equals Big Projects for Counties with large populationsMaking Maglev Mullis look goodWe get a new tax even if every voter in Dade County voted no.

If I'm correct I think the new DOT bill does not allow a county to opt out. Therefore if we're in a region with Walker, Catoosa, Chattooga, etc. and a vote is taken to increase sales tax for roads we could end up paying even if we don't want it. Correct me if I'm wrong.
