As for me, I'm all S.P.L.O.S.T.. ed OUT! It don't matter to me what letter you put before it like E or T any other, from what I have seen, it's just to big of a headach for what little work that's put into it... Just throw the money up in the air and see where it lands.... We keep adding pennies and telling folks that it's the most "Fair Tax" out there... For who? The ones who get to spend it and say.... "Look what I have done"!
I say let's hold the System accountable till they hold themselves accountable... That just might take a while.... VOTE NO for any S.P.L.O.S.T.!

Seems this morning on "Tha FLuffer" that our "County Executive" played the ace in the hole poker card... Guess what folks.... IF you don't vote to pass the E.S.P.L.O.S.T, your porperty taxes will go up because the school board will need to raise taxes to cover it.
Now here's something to think about...
With the "Ben Brandon" tax break for the Seniors, they can VOTE NO without even worring about their taxes going up....lol...lol... It's the Seniors vrs. the Kids!!!!

I just wonder in how many counties that the Executive commissioner takes the "Bully Pulpit" to speak on issues for the School system. After reading this weeks Sentinel, I have to wonder why. Is it because he is afraid that it will make the commission look bad "IF" the school system has the guts to raise taxes? Or maybe he don't want the Good Ole Boy System to NOT WORK for goverment. Oh I know what he would say.... "It's Fer The Kids".....I have posted below the comment made in last weeks meeting.
In his address, Chairman Rumley urged citizens to vote for continuation of the one-cent ESPLOST (educational special project local option sales tax), which will be on the presidential preference primary ballot on March 6. He says if the measure doesn’t pass, it could mean a 4-mill property tax increase. “It could be a disaster,” he said.
I also read a Letter to the Editor written by a fellow troublemaker asking that folks just look at the record of School Systems all over the state of Georgia and should we just throw good money after bad. Now I will bet (well, don't call the Sheriff on me)(he wouldn't answer anyway) that sometime before the vote, there will be at least two letters written in suppot of "It's Fer The Kids Tax" in what great things will be done with "THIS" E.S.P.L.O.S.T

Now that Dade County has passed this new tax (Yea I know all about it just being continued but it still is now a NEW TAX) we will just have to hope that the money isn't spent on any form of Sports. I do like the fact that the Super has made it clear that NO MONEY will be spent until it is collected.... Boy what 15 Million won't buy....
