The one thing I can say for this race, it will be fun to watch it play out. I'm just glad it will be over sooner than later.. But you have to understand something I learned after this last election. Between everone having such high hopes for a Good Sheriff and just getting by now (by getting along) on the comssission, we shall see who can get people to get out and vote. Just like this week... Voter Turnout will be very light as it was in the City last election. With the election of this President and our local choices. Who wants to even go vote? Look at the Sand Mountain District... NO one even wanted to run, and I know how people really feel about the job being done by the Railroad Man... Nothing personal to Scottie but tell me...
I used to believe in VISION for Dade County by then I figured out that the Leadership of the County was BLIND!
Just sitting back pating themselves on the back for "getting along" and "Not raising taxes" just isn't getting it done for me. Cutting back on servies don't impress me that much... Poor Ole Billy who spends less, gets more done and they always cut, cut, cut the people on getting things done like road-repair and even grass mowing. But too hear the commission tell it... Man are we doing a GREAT job or what???????????? Put me down for WHAT!

I've often said that if I could pick one unelected person in the county to be in charge I'd pick Billy. You could be sure there wouldn't be anything wasted.

Common Sense and a good upbringing on how to do more with less shows with someone like Billy. Work eithic and just plain good person who cares about Dade County...... I'm "FER-IM"!!!!!!!!!
You don't have to LISTEN to Billy do the talk, you watch the man do the WALK and you will see how much he does for this County..... Wish we had a county full of people like him... We may do but they ain't working for the County or City... Them Jobs are taken by some others... I know that the City has a wonderful Roads Dept. too with Preston and the Gang because I have seen them walk the walk also...

Spent some time today with folks about the up and coming election here on the North End... Sounding like not much of a change is gonna take place here if nothing big happens before the next election.

Just what are "THEY" teaching down there at this Church or what is in the water? Does everone who attends this Church think they have to run or be in office or work for the County?
Just added another "Log on the Fire"! lol...lol...lol... I just wish that people of Dade County could operate outside of "Their Little Circle" and find out that Dade County has alot of good people other than those who are family and go to Church with us. Seems we must be afraid to meet new people or maybe talk to other folks outside the Chruch to see that qualified people do exist of than our little Clicks we have... I mean All Churches have!
I know that talking about our "Local Churchs" and their leaders draw the HEAT (I can take it) (telling the truth isn't wrong) but it just seems like that there are "our 4 and no more" has been played out in this County for way to many years now.
I know of at least 4 or 5 MORE Qualified people than the one selected to be placed on the Water Board in this District. I'm not calling the Board Member stupid by no means but I just think that a little more work put into the selection would have been better for the County than just appointing "Our Preacher"........

I know some will call this another "Personal Attack" on our local Preachers and Politicians (see how that just fits) but it's really not about the "PERSON" but the "SYSTEM"! I'm sure the Pastor will do a good job (about as well as the others) but when can we put someone on a board that is a leader and not just a friend or family member of one person for all the boards we have? I just don't see any change made by re-appointing the same board or mixing in a couple of others and went through all this to come away with the same problem we have had in the past. Who can sit at a board meeting to hold any accountability and work at it and know what is going on? I just don't see Eddie having the time to put into this venture!

That would be funny Tractor, but as far as I know, that don't look to good on the Resume! Because in alot of cases, I have seen it as a waste of water...lol...lol...
