I understand that the Governor has overflew the damaged areas in Dade County a couple of times but to my knowledge he has failed to put “Boots” on the ground anywhere in Dade County and if he has I will retract that and give him credit. Looks like we poor people of Dade County will be the “Red Headed Stepchild” of Georgia once again and will continue to be for years to come because of the “Great Wall of Lookout”. I am sure “Maglev” Mullis took the copter ride with him to show his support in the recovery effort and to get some quality “Camera Time” so he will look good to all the voters. Having seen him appearing in Ringgold with the Governor and other elected Officials it showed all the “Good Eatin” he has been doing with all them high powered Lobbyist in Atlanta. Seems he needs to lobby a good Hong Kong Taylor because his suit coat is about 6 sizes too small. I am surprised he did not show up on Sand Mt. because most all the churches were giving away free food to everyone in need or working. Seems like a lot gets done when Government stays out of things and Communities take care of their own instead of waiting for the State or Federal Government to do it for them. Lot has been done and more will get done but once the Feds and State gets involved things will really slow down or get caught up in red tape

FEMA should construct a air traffic control tower on the brow of Sand Mt. so that all the high ranking officals copter will not run into each other. Looks like flyovers are as close as they want to come. The tower could be used for some Air Traffic Control personnel to get some much need sleep.

Although, I have never seen the need to have a picture taken of doing your job, I guess it's like the Royal Wedding when you get the air time, make the most of it. But I guess it comes with the job of getting FEMA here to "HELP" folks out. I believe that folks here will be able to see for themselves of Goverment in action but I hope that some at least will see the benifit because that is all they will have to rely on. It breaks my heart to say that I will be suprised if many get much help at all. It will take months before we learn our lesson on Goverment Help in this area (or the lack of it)......

Sorry to say a Flyover well be the best most people affected will ever get. The Help that mattered when it mattered was by other people in the communities and churches who put need above everything else. Hot meals, water, clean up and moral support was provides without the help of any Govermental agency without strings or red tape. Taking bet's now... which will be rebuilt first Dade County or New Orleans... My money is on Dade County. The support of persons in this area will see that it will be...

It's nice that we are getting this many "Flyovers" these days. I'm just wondering if they are concerned with the price of fuel it takes to be able to "SEE" the destruction.

Oh that's right, we will just bill it to FEMA and the County, City, and State can split the 25% so it actually don't cost the taxpayers nuthin! Just FLUFFIN there a little....lol...lol..lol....

At the risk of defending someone that I didn't and wouldn't vote for unless Obama decided to run for Georgia Governor, Nathan Deal did land in the Moore Funeral Home parking lot on the day after the tornado. I was there and even took pictures on my cell phone commemorating the event. His chief of staff looked like he'd see a ghost when I was the second one he shook hands with when the prop stopped turning. I'm sure it was because I'd said some unkind, but true, things about the raw Deal last year. I think he was on the ground less than 30 minutes.

Wonder if the Mayor used the same speech as he done when Mr. Deal was our Congressman and he came to speak at the Legion and the Mayor told us all that he was gonna "Get-R-Done"....lol...lol... I have used that example many times of how we look to others outside of this County!

Look closely at the picture and you can see it now.. "Yea Governor, I am gonna Get-R-Done"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....lol...lol...lol....

In the Rodney King spirit of “Can’t we all get along” thing I want to say how Blessed we are here in Dade County. Early this morning we had another “Official” flyover this morning in the damaged areas of Sand Mountain. I just get the “Warm Fuzzies” and “Goose bumps” when we have one of those “Official’’ Flyovers. I know in my heart that somewhere up there in that big whirling machine is someone in a high place showing his caring side to the poor unfortunate people on the ground. I for one am glad they don’t put their 500 loafers on the ground where God forbid they stick roofing tack in them or pick a 1000 dollar suit on an exposed nail.

I thought I had gotten my wish for a FEMA air traffic control tower on Sand Mountain but then I discovered it was just a skybox from where the FEMA Types could stand and with X-Ray eyes and look down into limb and tree trucks on thier way to the burn pit. And the Flyovers continue without proper air traffic control....
