After reading the local “Fish Wrapper” about the new 4-Way Stop at Ga.301 and 136 it appears democracy rules again. Less than 20 people signed a petition to get it done. Now those fine signers have moved a traffic jam further up the mountain. I am not making light of the amount of accidents at this intersection… just saying this was the worst way to try to correct it. Since the State government is SO responsive to a less than 20 person signed petition wonder if we could get one to let us become a separate State because Alabama don’t want us, neither does Tennessee and Georgia just ignores us.

Just got back from making a trip out today to see what all the hub bub was about. Why block the turning lane???? I mean after all the turn lane is used for the straight ahead traffic at the bottom of the mountain....
