Can anyone tell me how many Jobs that “Maglev” Mullis or the JDA has brought to Dade County? We have spent Millions of tax Dollars to bring them here over the past few years and I just want to see what we are getting for our money. Over 2 million from SPLOST and over 160 Thousands to “Maglev”…just to give ideas as to what has been spent and still as far as I can tell no Jobs to be had anywhere. FYI we have also paid interest on the 2 Millions from SPLOST because we just had to have it to by land we did not buy. If I am wrong on this on I will be glad to revise the figures…

Most folks don't know the story about the IDA buying the property. The IDA had done NOTHING is the last years to help move Dade County forward. There were a small group of people who wanted to see the Industrial Park expand and even had leads of business that were interested. BUT, since they didn't go through the Good Ole Boy system and include them, it was doomed. The deal was worked out and the papers were to be signed on the entire farm. Now I would have to do the re-search and see but the price per acre wasn't near what other counties were paying and it was right next to the park we already have. Then it was discovered that the IDA had to get involved to make the actual purchase and that is when the Good Ole Boys who didn't like the fact, something was done without them, put their foot down and stopped it with the "Blue Line" and "Rock" excuse. Blue line meanig a creek or branch. That was almost three years ago now, so we have went "Full Circle" with this issue. The bottom line is that we don't have qualified people in the IDA who want to see anything happen in Dade County unless they are getting something in return.
As far as Mullis, if I say anything against him, I am wrong for saying it, not because I am not right, just because it don't need to be said by anyone. But like you, I am gonna have to quit talking about Mullis and start asking about him....

Well when "Maglev" graces the county with his presents... he eats at local eatery's...dont't know who pays so I guess you could say he has "Saved" a few resturant job's if you apply it the way the Federal Goverment ruler look's at "Saved" jobs!!!!!
