The Dade County Commission is now set to approve a budget will also have them looking to pull over $1/2M dollars from their fund balance or if you will the net worth of the county.
This was taken from the Discover Dade Site, and it really made me laugh....
Fund Balance? Net worth of the County? "If you will"???????? lol...lol... What does it all mean?????? I know what the Net worth means, but still not sure how we call it a Fund Balance, and how we get money from it. Is it like we are taking a loan against the worth of the county? Sound like a goodin is being played on us with this one.... By no means and I saying it is illegal, but a better education on this matter is what I am looking for. But with our local media I guess this is as good as it gets... "If You Will"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol...lol...lol...lol... Glad to see them still making cuts but not sure those numbers are adding up right either....

Anybody think it is funny that we are only to collect $1 in Timber sales tax. I am guessing nobody is going to log next year or the county doesn't want to enforce.
