I enjoyed the Christmas Parade this year. NO real classy floats (cept for some), but the fire trucks always make it great. :D

You have to really "WORK" to get the community to build floats. Just saying we're having a Christmas Parade doesn't do it. I was PROUD of the amount of Churches this year. That has always amazed me at the lack of Churches that are in the Parade. They will NEVER be any "FLOATS" like the ones we used to make anyway, but it's nice to see when they at least try to spend a little time with them.

Growing up I used to ride (horses that is) in parades, 1890s day in Ringgold, Chickamauga, and the one in Fort O. I think the thing I remember the most were all the ball teams -- of course that was in the summer. I was really impressed with what our church did but more impressive was how excited they were to be doing it -- and how they really wanted everyone to get involved.
