I have been aware of this message board for some time, and a couple of friends have informed me that I was the topic of conversation by a couple of posters. I am not surprised, based upon the history that I have had with these two.
I do not have the time, energy or desire to get into a futile dialogue on a message board. There are two sides to everything. If anyone really cares about the negative things about me that have been posted here (I really doubt that anyone cares), I am easy to reach. I am in our church office almost every morning. My home phone is listed and my cell phone is 423-364-2251. My email address is PastorDavidSmith@aol.com . I don’t know how I could make myself more available. I would be happy to speak to anyone personally and answer any questions that you may have.
Some friends of mine who pastor in Atlanta, Shawn and Michelle (Hooper) Brooks, sent me an e-mail today with the following scripture. I thought it was timely and appropriate:

Nice to see you join us there. Even though you say that you won't be coming back, I can take it as just another attempt to convice yourself of your belief's. It's so sad that you want to once again "PLAY" the "VICTIM". For those who really care (those who have been hurt) we have seen the walk. Even though I have NO FRIENDS who are a Pastor in Atlanta, (those who I can "Name Drop"), that I quote scripture from, I can assure you that my momma didn't raise a fool. You are welcome to give "YOUR SIDE" to anyone you would like, but in closing just to make it fair, ask them to watch you walk and see that it lines up with all your TALK......

What history have you had with me? Me seeing for myself the truth? Hearing it with my own ears from even yourself in a weak moment? I ONLY wish it to be the one friend that has been hurt but you have to admit that I know of others.

...and, anyone may contact me here through this board in a public manner...deception, more importantly shedding light on deception, should be dealt with in a full disclosure manner...no private phone calls or private discussions with me regarding this situation. I am willing to offer public statements/responses (and proof of those statements) to anyone willing to inquire in a public manner.
Biblical principles in attempting to resolve this situation have already been followed by myself (along with my family and multiple witnesses) to no avail. I have not, at any time, misrepresented the truth in any manner regarding statements I have made on this (or any other) public forum. I invite any interested in this mess to, as the Bible says, "try the spirits".
I do hope that any/all discussion that may occur in response to this matter will be done in a respectful and factual way, and in accordance with this board's policy on posting. I pledge to behave accordingly.
In closing, thank you to the owners and moderators of this board for providing a fair outlet for both sides to post on this matter.
